This corpus is composed of the audio and the manual transcriptions of the LECTRA Corpus: classroom LECture TRAnscriptions in European Portuguese. The corpus includes seven 1-semester University courses. All lectures were taught at Technical University of Lisbon (IST), recorded in the presence of students, except IICT, recorded in another university and in a quiet office environment, targeting an Internet audience. The corpus contains a total of 28 hours of audio speech that were manually transcribed by several trained annotators.

The corpus is comprised of technical University lectures: Production of Multimedia Contents (PMC), Economic Theory I (ETI), Linear Algebra (LA), Introduction to Informatics and Communication Techniques (IICT), Object Oriented Programming (OOP), Accounting (CONT), Graphical Interfaces (GI).

Two files per lecture are provided:
a) a RAW file: audio file
b) a TRS file: containing the manual transcriptions. The TRS format is a kind of XML format that a standard transcription software such as Transcriber can open. Annotations in the TRS files are at word-level. They are fine-grained transcriptions that include disfluencies. The characters in the text files are encoded in ISO-8859-1 (Latin1).

The TRS files have a total of 220K word tokens (Training set: 179K word tokens, Development set: 21K word tokens, Test set: 20K word tokens). The whole resource occupies 3.3 GB.

Ce corpus est constitué des données audio et transcriptions manuelles du corpus LECTRA (LECture TRAnscriptions in European Portuguese). Le corpus comprend sept cours d’un semestre universitaire. Tous les cours ont été enseignés à l’Université Technique de Lisbonne (IST), enregistrés en présence des étudiants, à l’exception de l’IICT, enregistré dans une autre université et dans un environnement calme de bureau, visant une audience Internet. Le corpus contient un total de 28 heures de parole audio qui ont été transcrites manuellement par plusieurs annotateurs formés à cette tâche.

Le corpus est composé de cours techniques universitaires: Production de contenu multimédia (PMC), Théorie de l’économie I (ETI), Algèbre linéaire (LA), Introduction aux techniques d’informatique et de communication (IICT), Programmation orientée objet (OOP), Comptabilité (CONT), Interfaces graphiques (GI).

Deux fichiers sont fournis par cours:
a) un fichier RAW: fichier audio
b) un fichier TRS contenant les transcriptions manuelles. Le format TRS est une sorte de format XML qu’un logiciel de transcription standard tel que Transcriber peut ouvrir. Les annotations dans les fichiers TRS sont réalisées au niveau du mot. Ce sont des transcriptions de granularité fine qui comprennent les disfluences. Les caractères dans les fichiers texte sont codés en ISO-8859-1 (Latin1).

Les fichiers TRS ont un total de 220K mots tokens (corpus d’apprentissage: 179K, corpus de développement: 21K, corpus de test: 20K). La ressource complète représente 3,3 Go.
