Tactile Reading SB is reading braille

The participant, SB, reads a short text from Pippi Longstocking and feels a tactile image of a face. This is recorded by the automated finger-tracker, developed by Bjord Breidegard. SB, is a blind person. Reads braille exceptionally well. This project started out as a feasability project, where we asked ourselves if we could construct something that would let us analyze the reading of blind people to the same high degree as eye-tracking has let us understand the reading process of seeing people. With the construction of the automated finger-tracker - we found a way. This project has then evolved to using this finger-tracker as well as IR motion tracking to measure braille reading and drawing conclusions about the reading process of blind people.
